Appliqueing with wool is so much fun!   Woven wool that is "fulled" (washed, agitated and dried) is perfect for applique as it does not fray once cut.

Wool can be cut into an applique shape and stitched to a wool or cotton background for a beautiful textured piece.

The wool applique method I prefer does not use glue or glue based products - it's simple and traditional.

Needle Turn Applique

Needle turn applique allows a quilt maker to use a variety of  fabrics to

produce dramatic results!

The method of needle turn applique I use is outlined in my free online tutorial:

"Teardrops of Love - a needle turn applique tutorial".

This method can be applied to any pattern or project and the end results are stunning.
